10 Unforgettable Moments at the First Phase of the Model Search Winners Boot Camp

The first week of July marked the official beginning of the career of the 47 models who won Boardwalk’s Silversaya Model Search.

Here’s the lowdown on what happened on the two-day event held at the Boardwalk Main Office – get ready for some serious FOMO.

1. Flashback to last year’s Silversaya tour

It has been a grueling process to choose from all the aspiring models from 27 tour legs and narrowing them down to 47 winners (trust us, it was a year in the making) and it was great to look back to where it all began!

2. Channeling Gaga in an ice breaker

The models got their first run smizing and pulling the perfect “bored chic” model look with the brand in an ice-breaker that tested how well they keep their focus.

3. Making it official!

Nothing is better than putting things on paper and making them official! The winners sat down to sign their contracts officially making them Boardwalk endorsers alongside celebrities like Alden Richards, JC de Vera and Janine Gutierrez!

4. Avel Bacudio schools the models on branding

What better way to help you create your modelling persona than by getting a branding lesson from Mercedes-Benz Stylo Asia Fashion Week Asia’s Most Influential Designer 2014!

5. Impromptu scouting (homaygad!)

Avel Bacudio saw the opportunity and went with it! Before he was even done talking, he already had his eyes set on a number of models whom he quickly made connections with for possible future projects.

6. Boardwalk’s Teen King: Zion Mandanas

The rest of the first phase was spent witnessing what talents the models had to offer; more than pretty and handsome faces, they sure were a gifted bunch! Zion Mandanas of Monumento wowed the crowd with his charm fit to be the next Teen King!

7. Discovering an all-star cast

Among the talents shown were acting, and some models quickly made friends in an effort to create a moving scene that made everyone wonder if they should be actors instead???

8. Magic Mike moment with Mohan

While the models had different talents and personalities, they had one thing in common– they were all down to have some fun. Mohan Francisco, also of Monumento (is there something in the air in Monumento?), who DID NOT HOLD BACK in his dance routine.

9. Miss Philippines Earth teaser with Princess
Princess Nicolas gave everyone a little sneak peak of what’s to come for the 2017 Miss Philippines Earth with her song and dance routine. She belted a Lani Misalucha classic and danced the Woman of the Earth theme. Princess is the official representative of Tarlac for this year’s Miss Philippines Earth pageant.
